Congratulations to the artists who won $1000 in cash prizes:

Grand Prize: Mr. Mark Brown
2nd Place: Mr. Matthew Cherrie
3rd Place: Mr. Ross McNary
Gallery Prize: Ms. Heather Williams
Shamrock Prize (Creativity): Connie Vice

High School Division:
1st Place: Hanna Kim
2nd Place: Shelley Rice

All of the entries are on display at ALL THINGS CELTIC art gallery/shop: 623 Baxter Ave in historic Irish Hill

Thanks to all who attended the Gallery Opening (reception and awards) on Friday, June 8 at 7:00... The show will be open through the month of June.  Many entries are available for sale.

We have a Coloring Contest for K-4th grade students, too...

How will the work be judged?

This year's judges were: Dr. Dario Covi (chairman emeritus - UofL art history dept.), local artist and art teacher Denise McClain, Artist in Residence at Bellarmine (Ceramics) Ben Teague and retired graphic artist and AOH past president Ken McKiernan.  Judges consider artistry, creativity, and theme when deciding the winners. Many thanks to our excellent panel of judges.

The Irish are known for their spirituality and great faith from pre-Historic times to the present.  One of Ireland’s artistic national treasures that is certainly worth a look is the finely illustrated 9th century Gospel manuscript: the Book of Kells...

MANY THANKS to BBC Beer Company and Jameson Irish Whiskey for their support of the AOH Arts and Education Committee!!!
