Purpose & Benefits

The primary purposes of the Organization are briefly set forth in the preamble to its National Constitution.

• To promote friendship, unity and Christian Charity among its members
• To uphold and sustain loyalty to the government of the United States of America...
• To aid and advance by all legitimate means, the aspirations and endeavors of the Irish people to complete and absolute independence.
• To foster the ideals and cultivate the history and traditions of the Irish race throughout the world.

• Membership Card and Pin grants you admittance to over 126 AOH Divisions and Halls across North America.
• Subscription to the bi-monthly National AOH newspaper, The Hibernian Digest.
• National Scholarships for members and their families.
• Participation in local, regional, and national fraternal organization networking.
• Community involvement in dinners, picnics, festivals, parties, sports and theatre.
• An outlet for professional energies and expertise.
• An opportunity to experience Irish culture by promoting lectures, films, discussion groups, entertainment, etc.
